This seminar will be held on April 20 in the MRA building and will include the participation of CRiEDO members and other UAB researchers interested in the proposed topics.
The seminar, led by Mathias Thorborg, will include the participation of CRiEDO members and other researchers from the Autonomous University of Barcelona interested in the development of formal skills within professional learning communities.
Thorborg, who is currently doing a predoctoral stay at CRiEDO, will present the results of the study carried out in Denmark, where they analyzed the different approaches to Professional Learning and Development (PLD) that were produced as a result of the school reform of 2014 in that country. From them it is intended to generate debate and exchange of ideas and experiences among the attendees to advance in the understanding of the learning that occurs in formal work contexts.
Thorborg is a primary and secondary teacher and has a master's degree in educational psychology. After obtaining the master's degree, he held a position as a research assistant in projects that revolve around the pedagogy of food and school meals. He started his doctorate in 2020 and will deliver his thesis in the first semester of 2023.
