"Tackling Early School Leaving through ‘orientation’ and ‘tutorial actions’: Findings from the Orienta4YEL project"


On May 27th the final conference of the Orienta4YEL Project will take place in hybrid mode. Its objective is to discuss the results obtained from the Orienta4YEL Project, focusing on how to monitor early school leaving through guidance and tutorial actions.

This conference is especially addressed to teachers, trainers, parents, students, academics, researchers, policy makers, NGO representatives, policy makers and experts in the field of early school leaving.

The day will help raise awareness of the achievements that have already been made to prevent and reduce early school leaving in the context of the Orienta4YEL project. The act should help guide educational institutions with initiatives aimed at identifying young people at risk of dropping out of school with the aim of prevention.

The conference pursues three specific objectives:

  1. Share guidance mechanisms (understood as a process of orientation and orientation of the learner) and tutorial actions that are understood as innovative methods and practices to promote inclusive education and training and encourage the education of young people at risk of early school leaving;
  2. Present the Action Strategies that have been designed in the context of the Orienta4YEL project according to a previous diagnosis, to support educational institutions in their work to prevent the risk of premature abandonment of young people in each of their specific contexts;
  3. Analyze and discuss the reality and perspectives of early school leaving in Europe, as well as promote the exchange of experiences and good practices on preventive and intervention measures to reduce (risk) early school leaving.
