The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona improves its position at 170th place in The Times Higher Education ranking.
This year's edition of the Times Higher Education world ranking places the UAB in 170th place worldwide, climbing 12 places compared to the previous year's edition. In addition, it improves in 4 of the analyzed areas (teaching, research, internationalization and knowledge transfer) and remains in the citations section of research articles.
In the new edition of the Times Higher Education world ranking of universities, which has just been published, the UAB has improved 12 positions compared to the previous edition, ranking 170th in the world and 75th in Europe. At the level of the Spanish State, the Autonomous Government maintains the second position.
By areas, the UAB improves in 4 of the 5 sections studied (teaching, research, internationalization and knowledge transfer) and remains in the area of citations per article.
The Times Higher Education World University Ranking, which has existed since 2001, evaluates about 1,400 universities from 92 different countries. It is based on thirteen indicators that evaluate the activity of higher education institutions in all its dimensions: teaching, research, transfer and internationalization.
In this year's edition, the University of Oxford, the California Institute of Technology and Harvard University occupy the top three positions in the world.
