On March 17th, Professor Georgeta Ion participated as a speaker at the “International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement”. His presentation, which was carried out within the framework of the line of work on research methods in education and professional learning networks, was entitled “Achieving the research capacity of teachers through school-university collaboration: an experience in schools Spanish primaries ”.
The congress, held online on March 8, 9, 17 and 19, had the slogan "Crossing borders and building bridges", and was organized by ICSEI. The motto is based on the premise that we need to engage critically with new and innovative ideas if we want our educational organizations to be more effective, especially in light of the pandemic we are facing. For this, the Congress has tried to answer the following questions: What policies should be implemented to support quality and equity, and the well-being of our students? How does politics influence educational practice? What are the pressing questions from educators that researchers must address? How can educators learn from research and researchers learn from practice? The goal of this conference is to cross these boundaries collaboratively to improve education around the world. Bridges need to be built: between different stakeholders (e.g. parents, students, teachers, school leaders), different roles (e.g. researchers, policymakers and practitioners), and different geographies (e.g. North, South, East and west). ). We can all learn from each other.
