Education in Bioeconomy in Europe


On June 3rd Aleix Barrera will present the UrBIOFuture project in a webinar organized by the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche.

This webinar, which is part of the dissemination activities of the project in the Italian context, will bring together different actors from the biological industry, public and private research centers, as well as from the University who are or want to start working in the bioeconomy and circular economy . The objective of the webinar is to exchange ideas and experiences, as well as to promote collaborations and actions that allow a more sustainable industrial production.

The webinar will start at 9:00 am and will have 14 experiences. At 10.10 am Aleix Barrera, member of EDO-UAB, will present the main results achieved in the framework of the UrBIOfuture project. Also, at 15:00, Professor Gioacchino Schifino (ISOF-CNR, Bologna - Italy), and member of the project, will explain the materials and actions carried out within the framework of the "UrBioFuture Experience".

UrBIOFuture aims to bring Europe to the forefront of the Bio sector by identifying the educational needs and gaps in the Bio sector in Europe, pointing out career opportunities in research and involving all interested parties in a co-creation process that offers the "UrBIOFuture experience "as a fundamental tool to attract talent and provide professional guidance. The project has been funded by BBI-JU within the framework of the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program.
