Stay of an EDO member at the U. of Tarapacá (Chile)
Dr. Joaquín Gairín Sallán, Academician of the Department of Applied Pedagogy and director of the research team EDO (htp: //edo.uab.es), was advising a team of researchers from the University of Tarapacá in the region of Arica and Parinacota in the North end of Chile, as a specialist in the framework of an International Cooperation of two FONDECYT projects of the National Council of Science and Technology of Chile.
In this opportunity he met with the main investigators and their teams of the following projects:
1. The role of cultural diversity in the training of professors in higher education institutions in the great north of Chile (Fondecyt No. 1191317, led by Dr. Carlos Mondaca Rojas, Academician of the Department of Education)
2. Modalities and Evaluative Practices used by the teachers of History, Geography and Social Sciences, in the public institutions of high education with high vulnerability indexes, in the border region (Fondecyt of Initiation No. 11180044, led by Dr. Raúl Bustos González, Academician of the Department of Education)
The visit as an international expert, was developed from November 10 to 16, 2019 in the offices of the University of Tarapacá. He participated with university executives on the planning of a collaborative work with the academics and teams of the Fondecyt projects in the Education area. Likewise, he tried to exchange experiences and short stays in the Organizational Development Team (EDO). Also, he gave the Master Conference in the Inauguration of the VII Educational Days of this study house, met in a conversation with the academics of the education department and gave a lecture for the university and school educational community as part of a specialist visit of the Framework Convention UTA1856.
