The 4th general coordination meeting of the ORACLE (Regional Observatory for the Quality of Equity in Higher Education) will be held at the Board Room of the Faculty of Education Sciences, from Wednesday 10th until Friday 12th of April.
The ORACLE project aims to be a space for the exchange of experiences, the elaboration of studies and the proposal of lines of action focused on the improvement of the inclusion and equity in the institutions of higher education of. Latin America. The focus of analysis is the students, the administration and services staff and the faculty that is part of the institutions analyzed. In its initial phase, the observatory is made up of 30 institutions in Latin America, and 5 European universities participate as associates. This project lasts 36 months, beginning in 2016 and finalizing this 2019.
It is expected that during the meeting work sessions will be held, allowing the progress in the project's objectives, where the institutional representatives that are part of the project will be actively involved since its inception.
On Wednesday the meeting begins with the welcome, the exhibition of the follow-up and the advances of the project and the planning of actions and commitments of the 3rd year. After the rest, the day will continue with two conferences: "Equity university culture. Ideas for a first approach "by the hand of Marcia Lopes Reis (UNESP) and Sebastián Donoso (UTAL) and" Administrative and economic management of the project" by Aleix Barrera Corominas (UAB). To close the day there will be activities of bilateral coordination between the partners of the project and a collective dinner.
In the second session, the initial design of the EDO-EES model will be worked out, the EDO-EEES Indicator Design Team will be created by pooling and discussing EDO-EEES indicators. Finally, bilateral coordination activities will be carried out among the project partners.
The last day of the meeting will be the organization of the II International Congress "Vulnerable University and Collectives". The Equity Culture will work: EDO-EES + MEDIMEQUM = ORACLE Model; the application and follow-up of experiences of Equity Culture; and the commitments, dissemination and challenges of the future.
