RedAGE celebrates its 10th year

Meetings -

On April 11th and 12th, the X meeting of the RedAge took place at the University of Talca (Santiago de Chile).

The General Assembly of the RedAge was held on 11th April, during which various issues of interest to the Network were discussed. On the one hand, the meeting was aimed at the presentation of the Executive Committee Report and the revision of both the economic balance of the year 2017 as of the daily management of the Network. On the other hand, operative proposals of the Work Commissions have been proposed, as well as the establishment of agreements and commitments for this year 2018. The General Assembly has finished with the approval of the seat of the next General Assembly.

On Thursday the 12th, and as a commemoration of the X Anniversary of RedAGE, the International Conference of the RedAge "School Management in Ibero-America: progress and challenges" was held. The inauguration of the day was in charge of the president of the RedAge, Joaquín Garín Sallán and the dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the University of Talca, Sebastián Donoso Díaz Dean. This day was structured from the following conferences and panels:

- Inaugural Conference: "Challenges for school management in Latin America." José Weinstein C. (Director of the Development Center of Educational Leadership, Chile).

- Panel 1: "Training Specialists in school management: The new challenges." María Verónica Leiva Guerrero (Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso, Chile), Boris Tristá Pérez (University of Havana, Cuba), Diego Castro Ceacero (Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain) and Rosa Tafur Puente (Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, Peru).

- Presentation of RedAGE: A decade at the service of Educational Management. Joaquín Gairín Sallán President of RedAGE.

- Panel 2: "Challenges of research for the construction of relevant theories." Cristián Cox Donoso (Diego Portales University, Chile), Marcia Lopes Reis (U. Estadual Paulista "Julio de Mesquita Filho", Brazil), Nicolasa Terreros Barrios (Specialized University of the Americas, Panama) and María Inés Vázquez Clavera (ACJ University Institute, Uruguay).

- Closing Conference: Leadership and subnational institutionality of Education. Mario Uribe Briceño (P. Catholic University of Valparaíso and Educational Leaders).
